A SERIES OF GRAND MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

Night of the Proms — a series of ambitious concerts that combine popular and classical music

In 2005 the event celebrated its twenty-first anniversary and once again confirmed the status of the most visited events in Europe.

Within 3 months NOTP performances were held in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. Tickets for the concerts were sold out long before the start of the tour.

By tradition, the first series of performances held at the Belgian site Sportpaleis Antwerp, then — in Rotterdam. 18 days concerts in Antwerp attended more than 15,000 people. Panoramic projection for this event provided by ETC, sound and light equipment gave the EML — Belgian company.

This year in Antwerp was Mr. Roger Daltrey, Mrs. Donna Summer, Mr. John Miles, Ace of Base, Safra Duo, Fine Fleur Choir, the orchestra conducted by Mr. Robert Groslot.

7-KILOWATT DOUBLE SCROLLERS

In 2005, ETC used two 7-kilowatt double scrollers to create an original projection. Both machines are operated in the frontal projection, providing high-quality visual accompaniment of a concert.

The idea of using the show projection proposed in 2004 by light designer Mr. Geert Vanhout. As the concept has never corresponded to the spirit of the event, organizers decided to keep the projection for the following year.

Nevertheless, they also wanted to bring something new to the show, to develop it for it’s newly image.

At this time Mr. Vanhout decided to use the line of roller screens with electronic control, which could combine to produce both a solid backdrop, and used it separately.

These screens are made from special grids, which is the ideal surface for your projected image.

To create a solid backdrop took eight screens 4 meters width and 12 meters height. For managing of such construction used DMX system, specifically designed for NOTP by EML Company engineers.

Mr. Olivier Demoustier had the lighting board during the event for the movement of the screens and its work.

Mr. Ross Ashton from ETC Company created the unique design for the projection. He used a number of different visual images from dusk, landscapes and flowers to children's drawings, fur and leather textures.

The projection occurred about 85 percent of the playing time, and most songs had interchangeably images.

Mr. Vanhout said: "Just another work with Mr. Ross Ashton gave me a great experience”.

The projection push on to look the performance in other shooting angle brings a new dimension to the scene, dramatically increasing dynamic performance and level of visual perception. "

SINCE 2004, THE NOTP SENIOR MANAGEMENT INCREASED THE BUDGET ACTIVITIES AND DRAMATICALLY CHANGED THE VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF THE SHOW, DECIDING TO USE PANORAMA PROJECTION AS A BACKDROP
