NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS IN LONDON

For the first time in the history of London's 107-meter facade of the SHELL building on the south bank of the Thames became a giant canvas for video projections during the 2009 New Year celebration — show, organized by the mayor.

The projection was launched at 20.00 in the New Year's Eve gathering in London centre more than 400,000 spectators, wait for 2009.

ETC London for the fifth consecutive year works with producer agency “Jack Morton Worldwide” for New Year celebrating project. At this time the company has offered to take full advantages of unique video projection features.

Sponsor of the event in 2009 became the South Korean manufacturer of consumer electronics LG Electronics, thanks to which the town-council was able to organize a truly amazing and unforgettable show.

The representative of ETC Mr. Ross Ashton said: "This project was for ETC London yet another key milestone in the development of large-scale video projections. To date, this is probably the biggest New Year's video installation in the UK and the unique opportunity for our company to make a giant step forward. "

Image Resolution 2888 x 5184 pixels allowed to make a projection of quality stand head and shoulders above HD.

ETC Technical Specialist Mr. Richard Porter used for the projection the projector 24 Christie S 20K, 12 pairs, arranged vertically. Thus, the resulting grid consisted of 12 cells — 3 wide and 4 in length — and the coating surface was 55 meters wide by 110 meters in height.

Shutdown began on December 27. Technical experts from the ETC Company are Mr. Robin Darraux, Mr. Patrice Lefevre and Mr. Glenn Jenkins; the Project Manager of Jack Morton Company is Mr. Jim Donald.



THE PROJECTION SHOW WAS LAUNCHED AT 8:00 PM IN THE NEW YEAR"S EVE FOR MORE THAN 400,000 SPECTATORS, GATHERED IN CENTRAL LONDON AND AWAITED THE BEGINNING OF 2009.
